Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI)

CEPI was officially launched in Davos in January 2017 as a global mechanism to explore and develop new ways to stimulate, finance and co-ordinate vaccine development against priority public health threats, in alignment with the WHO R&D Blueprint for action to prevent epidemics. CEPI is an innovative partnership between public, private, philanthropic and civil organizations that will advance vaccine development and enable their full trials and emergency deployment in outbreaks as well as support the long-term development of epidemic vaccine preparedness within the countries most at risk from epidemic threats. As epidemics disproportionately affect low-income countries, CEPI aims to ensure that the vaccines it helps to develop are affordable, so that price is never a barrier to access, and they are available to populations with the most need. Fund Website »
